The Heart of Genius is directed by Shen Yan ("The Rise of Phoenixes," "The First Half of My Life), starring Lei Jiayin ("The Wandering Earth," "My People, My Country"), Zhang Zifeng ("Detective Chinatown," "My People, My Country"), Zhang Xincheng ("Go Ahead," "Young Blood"). Based on Chang'er's novel of the same name, the drama tells the story of Lin Zhaosheng, a mathematical genius, his daughter Lin Chaoxi, and Pei Zhi, a highly intelligent teenager, as they search for themselves in mathematical reasoning and dual-time interaction. A mysterious mathematical formula accidentally took Lin Chaoxi (played by Zhang Zifeng) to a parallel world when she was 13 years old. In this strange adventure, Lin Chaoxi, who had accumulated years of experience in Olympiad competitions, realized that the time she had let down, the faith she had abandoned, the dreams she had not finished, the ties she had missed, and even her father's incurable disease, all had the possibility to to be made up for–even a life that had started out badly could have infinite opportunities.
